Happy Good Running Co. ("Happy Good Running," "we," "us") operates happygoodrunning.com and a family of products, currently including Loadpoint (loadpoint.happygoodrunning.com), together the "Services." This Privacy Policy has two parts: general practices that apply across Happy Good Running Co. and everything we build, and a product-specific section for each product, starting with Loadpoint.
Part A: General (applies to all Happy Good Running Co. products)

Part B: Loadpoint-specific data practices.
This section applies specifically to your use of the Loadpoint application. Future Happy Good Running Co. products will have their own section here as they launch.
B1. Information Loadpoint collects
You give us directly: account information (name, email, password); biometric and health information (weight, height, age, sex, body-fat percentage if provided, heart-rate and threshold-test results, dietary restrictions); training information you log manually, nutrition information (food logs, meal photos, pantry/receipt photos, custom fuel products), and communications (messages to WaypointAI, support, beta feedback and survey responses); beta/waitlist application information (running background, goal race, device type). We collect automatically when you connect a third-party service: Strava: with your permission (OAuth), we receive activity data (GPS routes, pace, heart rate, elevation) for activities you sync, so Loadpoint can compare what you planned against what you actually did.
B2. How we use Loadpoint data
To calculate your personalized training and nutrition targets, generate training and meal plans, and power the Kitchen (grocery/pantry) features; to power AI-assisted features (meal-idea generation, calorie estimation from photos or descriptions, the WaypointAI chat coach, see B4); to verify nutrition estimates against the U.S. Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central database; to send notifications you've opted into (evening check-ins, weekly summaries, pantry reminders); to maintain the energy-availability (RED-S) safety floor, applied to your data regardless of subscription status.
B3. Health data specifically
Some of what Loadpoint collects (biometric data, dietary information) is sensitive. We collect it because it's necessary to provide the personalized training and nutrition targets you're signing up for. We don't sell it and don't use it for advertising. Loadpoint is not a medical device, and this data is not used to diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition, see "Not Medical Advice" in the Terms of Service.
B4. AI processing
Certain features (meal-idea generation, photo-based calorie estimation, WaypointAI chat, weekly written summaries) send relevant data, such as a meal photo, a food description, or a summary of your recent training and nutrition, to Google's Gemini API, accessed through our infrastructure provider, Lovable, for processing. The specific access point we use operates on a zero-data-retention basis, meaning Google does not retain your prompts or responses or use them to train its models. We do not send your name, email address, or account identifiers to our AI provider for any of these features. Photos are automatically resized and stripped of embedded location and device data on your device before being sent. See Google's Gemini API data handling documentation for details: https://ai.google.dev/gemini/data-protection.
B5. Who we share Loadpoint data with
Strava (only what their API provides via your OAuth authorization, used only to power Loadpoint's features, never sold or shared further); USDA FoodData Central (queried to verify nutrition estimates, no information that identifies you is sent); AI model provider(s) (as described in B4); infrastructure/hosting providers (process data on our behalf, under contract); payment processor (if/when paid subscriptions launch, handles payment information directly, we don't store full card numbers).
